Last updated August 2, 2026The short version
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, or tracking of any kind. The BearCode apps run entirely on your machine with your own API keys. We have no servers that see your code, your prompts, or your keys — there's nothing for us to collect, so we don't.
This website
BearCode.AI is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party scripts, and loads no resources from other domains — fonts and images are served from this site. Like almost every website, the server that hosts these pages may keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations; we don't use them for anything else.
The BearCode apps
The desktop app and CLI are open source and run locally. Your conversations, project files, settings, and history are stored on your computer. API requests go directly from your machine to the model providers you configure (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, your local Ollama, and so on) using your own keys — nothing is routed through, stored on, or visible to any BearCode server. Which providers see what is governed by their privacy policies, and by which provider you choose to point the agent at.
The apps contain no telemetry. If that ever changes, it will be opt-in, and this page will say so first.
Downloads & source code
Downloads and source are hosted on GitHub, which has its own privacy statement covering what it logs when you visit or download.
